Search Engine Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned SEO Specialist with over five years of practical experience in search engine optimization. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in traditional SEO techniques as well as emerging fields such as Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and AI Search Optimization. This role focuses on optimizing and managing websites based in Dubai and the UAE across various industries, aiming to enhance organic search rankings, increase qualified traffic, generate leads, improve conversions, and boost visibility on both conventional search engines and AI-powered platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies tailored for Dubai/UAE-based websites.
- Conduct in-depth keyword research considering search intent, competition, volume, and business goals.
- Execute full on-page SEO, including optimization of title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, content, keyword mapping, internal linking, image alt tags, URL structure, and content freshness.
- Manage technical SEO aspects such as website crawling and indexation, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical tags, redirects, duplicate content issues, Core Web Vitals, site speed, mobile optimization, structured data/schema markup, and JavaScript SEO challenges.
- Plan and implement ethical off-page SEO and link-building strategies.
- Perform competitor SEO analysis to identify ranking and content opportunities.
- Develop content strategies based on search intent, topical authority, entities, and semantic relevance.
- Create detailed SEO content briefs and collaborate closely with content writers.
- Optimize existing content and identify pages with potential for improved rankings and conversions.
- Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, leads, conversions, and other SEO KPIs.
- Conduct regular SEO audits and provide actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with developers, content creators, designers, and digital marketing teams to implement SEO improvements.
- Utilize tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Business Profile.

AEO, GEO & AI Search Responsibilities

- Develop AEO strategies to enhance visibility for direct-answer searches.
- Optimize content for featured snippets, People Also Ask, FAQs, conversational queries, and question-based searches.
- Create GEO strategies to improve presence in AI-generated search results.
- Optimize websites for AI-powered platforms including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, and other emerging answer/search engines.
- Enhance brand visibility and understanding by AI systems through structured data, entity optimization, topical authority, and clear factual content.
- Optimize content for conversational and natural-language queries.
- Research competitor appearances in AI-generated answers and identify opportunities for improved visibility.
- Monitor AI search developments and adapt strategies accordingly.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on SEO experience.
- Strong understanding of Google Search and up-to-date SEO best practices.
- Proven experience optimizing Dubai/UAE or GCC-focused websites is highly preferred.
- Expertise in Local SEO and location-based search optimization.
- Comprehensive knowledge of On-Page, Technical, Off-Page, Content SEO, AEO, and GEO.
- Familiarity with AI Search Optimization and large language model (LLM) visibility.
- Solid grasp of search intent, topical authority, semantic SEO, entities, E-E-A-T principles, and content optimization.
- Experience working with WordPress and other common CMS platforms.
- Basic understanding of HTML and technical SEO concepts.
- Proficiency in SEO tools including Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.
- Knowledge of schema markup and structured data.
- Ability to conduct detailed competitor and SERP analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Capability to independently manage SEO campaigns from audit through execution and reporting.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Adaptability to Google algorithm updates and the evolving AI search landscape.

- Competence in analytics, tracking, and conversion measurement.
