Logistics Intern

The Logistics Intern will be based in SIF Country Office Islamabad. S/he will work under the supervision of the Logistics Manager.

Job Description

Assist in submission of procurement files in the finance and payment follow-ups.
To update the procurement folders regularly and ensure that all procurement documents are collected with high attention on transparency and SIF guiltiness.
Assist in contracts management and renewals tracking and follow-ups with the field Log Officers on regular basis.
Assist in preparation of Monthly Logistics Report.
Assist in scanning process of vouchers/invoices.
Assist in vendor’s data base management.
Maintain and verify inventory records and archiving of files.
Assist in electronic / hard filing of logistic documents.
To ensure both soft and hard filling for all procurements done.
To support the Logistics Assistants to plan daily movements of the fleet in order to facilitate adapted services to the program teams.
To ensure logbooks are properly filled by the driver.
To create appropriate documentations when handed over assets to SIF staff.
Any other tasks as requested by the supervisor in line with internship learning scope.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Management, Administration and diploma in supply chain management.
Fresh or less than one year relevant work experience in logistics, procurement, & security.
Experience in international development and non-profit organizations.
Good computer skills; word, excel, PowerPoint and database.
Experience in writing reports in English.
Ability to liaise with national authorities, NGO’s and other agencies.
Fluent in English and Urdu.
Ability to speak local languages will be an added advantage.
