Security Officer

BIAFO Industries Limited, a publicly listed company specializing in the manufacturing of commercial explosives and related products, serves the mining, quarrying, and infrastructure sectors. The company is currently seeking a disciplined and vigilant Security Officer with a background in the Armed Forces to manage security operations at its industrial facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment, supervising security personnel, protecting company assets, and ensuring strict adherence to security protocols.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily security operations and ensure the effective implementation of security policies and procedures.
- Supervise, deploy, and monitor security guards to guarantee adequate coverage of all designated security posts.
- Manage access control for employees, visitors, contractors, vehicles, and the movement of materials in and out of the facility.
- Conduct routine security inspections, perimeter patrols, and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Enforce strict compliance with security protocols, especially in restricted areas and sensitive industrial zones.
- Monitor security incidents, investigate irregularities, and promptly report breaches or threats to management.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of visitor entries, vehicle movements, incidents, inspections, and other security-related activities.
- Coordinate with Plant Management, Administration, and law enforcement agencies as necessary.
- Ensure preparedness for emergencies and coordinate appropriate responses to security incidents and contingencies.
- Maintain discipline, vigilance, and confidentiality among security personnel while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Assist management in developing and enhancing security procedures, emergency response plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Perform additional duties related to security management as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications
- Education: Minimum Intermediate level; a Bachelor’s degree is considered an advantage.
- Armed Forces Background: Must be a retired member of the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, or Pakistan Navy.
- Rank Preference: Retired Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) or equivalent ranks, or officers with relevant security management experience, will be preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years in security supervision or management, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in access control, security planning, personnel supervision, and emergency management is essential.
