The driving training officer (DTO) is responsible for teaching students the rules of the road and to demonstrate how to safely operate a motor vehicle. You must first present lessons in the classroom to teach students about driving laws and driver courtesy. You also explain how a car operates, how to perform safety checks and what to do in case of an emergency. After the classroom instruction, you accompany your students as they apply that knowledge behind the wheel of a vehicle. You might work one-on-one with students or in a small group setting.
You must be able to communicate well with students. You must have the capability to work with individuals with a wide range of skills. You must be patient, because not every student will grasp the objective of a lesson the first time you present it.
Requirements and Qualifications:
1) A valid driver’s license is required
2) A minimum of bachelor’s degree is required
Work experience and qualification as a driving instructor is require
4) Requirement of taking an academy financed, short 4-week refresher course for the purpose of training.
5) To be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device
6) Fluency in English and Urdu language
7) Working Hours – 9am to 7pm, 7 days a week
8) Age preference – to be over 21-45 years of age
