· Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops accounting staff; manages workflow.
· Prepares and analyzes financial and operational reports; performs variance analysis.
· Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment and oversee budget performance.
· Responsible for the correct reporting under IFRS.
· Preparation of annual budgets per cost Centre, department and brand. Verify the accuracy of actual and forecasts and provide detailed explanations for variances and trends for overheads
· Fixed Asset Register of Brand assets
· Responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records for all brand activities and ensuring all accounting and internal control processes are complied with.
· Integrating and liaison with HQ accounting department to ensure all brand transactions are timely recorded and accounted for in the HQ records.
· Responsible for the preparation and submission of daily and monthly management information pack for General Manager & Group CFO and with analysis explanations of variances.
· Coordinating and supporting the finance team as and when necessary
· Working closely with the General Manager Accounts & Finance and Group CFO on special projects and assignments
· Controlling accounting entries with support documents ensuring existence of complete audit trail, policies and procedures.
· Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations.
· Installs, modifies, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
· Monthly Reporting of Financial Statements for brands.
· Manages monthly accounting close cycle.
· Responsible for bank account reconciliations and prepare bank reconciliation statements.
· Responsible for Treasury management and Expense Payables.
· Manage chart of accounts additions, changes and deletes.
