Senior Account Officer Pak Petrochemical Industries (Pvt.) Ltd Karachi

Pak Petrochemical Industries Private Limited (PPCIL), a leading manufacturer and exporter of high-quality polystyrene resin, is seeking a Senior Account Officer for its Head Office in Karachi. This role is ideal for a dynamic, self-driven finance professional with 2 to 4 years of treasury experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. The position involves managing treasury operations, banking coordination, withholding tax processing, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, capital expenditure, and working extensively with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the company’s financial and treasury functions while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end payment lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.
- Handle FBR withholding taxes on bills and contracts in compliance with tax regulations.
- Coordinate daily treasury activities and maintain effective communication with banking partners.
- Prepare and circulate daily bank position reports to assist management in monitoring cash balances.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies between accounting records and bank statements.
- Support cash-flow forecasting and financial planning through accurate treasury reporting.
- Oversee fixed assets and capital expenditure accounting, including asset recording, capitalization of qualifying expenditures, and monthly depreciation calculations in line with company policies.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure proper documentation and controls are in place.
- Utilize SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud modules (FI-AP and FI-BL) for accounts payable and bank accounting processes, ensuring practical application of system capabilities in daily operations.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or
- Part-qualified ACCA or ICMA, or
- CA Trainee status.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant treasury experience within a manufacturing company, with demonstrated expertise in payment processing, tax deductions, bank reconciliation, treasury reporting, fixed assets, and CAPEX accounting.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, specifically in Financial Accounting – Accounts Payable (FI-AP) and Bank Accounting (FI-BL). Candidates should clearly articulate their practical SAP experience related to payment transactions, bank processes, and reconciliations.
