Senior Account Receivable Specialist (Medical Billing)

Meds Nexus is looking for a committed Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team full-time at their Rawalpindi office located on Asghar Mall Road. This position operates on an evening/night shift from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in US medical billing and accounts receivable management, capable of handling complex claims, managing high-priority denials, leading insurance appeals, and ensuring efficient cash flow for US-based clients. Key Responsibilities
Manage the entire Accounts Receivable process with a focus on advanced follow-ups for high-value, aged, or complex unpaid claims. Review patient claims meticulously to ensure accuracy, coding compliance, and completeness prior to submission, minimizing billing errors. Identify and resolve complex payment discrepancies, underpayments, and claim denials. Prepare and submit Level 1 and Level 2 insurance appeals supported by detailed clinical and billing documentation. Verify insurance payments against contractual discount rates for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers to detect underpayments. Handle billing for secondary and tertiary insurance and respond to escalated inquiries from patients and insurance representatives. Generate detailed daily and weekly Accounts Receivable trend analyses, research summaries, and management reports using MS Excel. Mentor junior staff, assist with floor escalations, and maintain clear communication with Team Leads and Managers.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 3 to 4 years of proven experience in US Medical Billing, Accounts Receivable Follow-up, Denial Management, and Appeals is essential. Advanced proficiency with major EHR and billing platforms such as AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks, Kareo/Tebra, Practice Fusion, OfficeAlly, EncoderPro, and various Payer Portals is required. Strong technical skills in MS Excel, including pivot tables, data sorting, and reporting formulas, along with familiarity with web faxing tools and a fast typing speed, are necessary. In-depth knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding, insurance guidelines for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial payers, and prior authorization workflows is expected. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, combined with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, are critical for success in this role.
