Senior Accountant – UK Accounts

AccoTech is a dynamic accounting firm providing services to clients across the UK. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical accountant to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the work of junior accountants who prepare UK statutory accounts and tax computations, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will also handle complex accounting files independently and participate in client meetings. This position demands a sharp eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Review UK statutory accounts, including sole trader and partnership accounts, as well as CT600 tax returns.
- Verify the accuracy of underlying bookkeeping records in Xero and QuickBooks.
- Identify errors, provide constructive feedback, and guide junior accountants to improve their work.
- Prepare accounts and tax computations when required.
- Attend client meetings via video calls to discuss financial matters and provide expert advice.
- Ensure timely sign-off of files while meeting turnaround and quality standards.

Required Qualifications
- ACCA or ACA qualification is essential.
- Minimum of three years’ experience working with UK accounts and CT600 tax returns.
- Practical experience using Xero or QuickBooks accounting software.
- Proven experience reviewing and supervising the work of others.
- Strong communication skills with confident spoken and written English.

- This is a full-time, on-site position with office hours from 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
