Senior Accountant

Candidates must reside in Islamabad to be eligible for this position. Edge is expanding into the finance industry and is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its growing global talent network. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely with leading North American companies, focusing on financial reporting and complex accounting challenges. The Senior Accountant will manage accounting cycles and financial reporting for assigned clients, ensuring compliance and acting as a trusted financial partner. This position is full-time and fully remote, with a Monday to Friday schedule that may align with various North American time zones (PST/MST/EST/CST).

Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes efficiently.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS and/or US GAAP.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and deliver actionable financial insights.
- Review complex journal entries and accounting estimates for accuracy.
- Maintain balance sheet integrity through precise reconciliations.
- Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Supervise and mentor junior accountants, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a reputable university.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
- ACCA or CA finalist status.
- 2 to 4 years of professional accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of accrual accounting principles.
- Proven experience in preparing month-end financial reports.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global teams.
