Edge Solutions Travel Management Company, an IATA accredited travel firm based in Zamzama, D.H.A Phase V, Karachi, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Finance department. This role is pivotal in managing and overseeing the company’s financial operations, including receivables, payables, cash flow, supplier settlements, and management reporting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to resolving outstanding financial matters.

Key Responsibilities

- Finance Coordination and Process Improvement: Assist the Finance & Accounts team by supporting daily operations and contributing to the enhancement of workflows, processes, and systems to strengthen the overall financial structure.

- Receivables & Credit Control: Ensure all client billing is completed timely and accurately, with no unbilled transactions. Monitor receivables aging and actively follow up on overdue invoices to secure prompt payment collections.

- Payables & Supplier Management: Reconcile accounts and statements related to IATA, airlines, suppliers, and vendors. Ensure supplier payments and settlements are processed accurately and on time.

- Cash Flow & Banking: Monitor daily and weekly cash positions, keeping track of upcoming financial commitments including operational costs, airline dues, and supplier settlements.

- Accounting & Management Reporting: Maintain precise accounting records and transaction postings using the CATALYST accounting software. Prepare and submit a weekly finance report to the CEO, detailing receivables, payables, collections, cash/bank positions, major commitments, and key financial issues.

Required Qualifications

- ACCA, ACMA, M.Com, B.Com, MBA in Finance, or an equivalent qualification.

- Strong expertise in managing receivables, payables, reconciliations, cash flow, and financial reporting.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a hardworking attitude.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

- A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity.

- Experience in the travel management sector, airline industry, or related fields such as IATA/BSP is highly preferred.

Additional Information

The position is based on-site at the company’s office in Zamzama, D.H.A Phase V, Karachi. The monthly salary range is between Rs70,000 and Rs100,000. Only candidates who meet the specified experience and qualification criteria will be considered for interviews.
