InnoSolve Business Solutions, a US-based finance and accounting firm with a delivery center in Lahore, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team. The successful candidate will support international clients in a BPO environment, handling accounting functions including month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and other related finance activities. The role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in professional English, and a solid understanding of US GAAP. Candidates with IFRS experience who can quickly adapt to US GAAP will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
- Perform balance-sheet reconciliations and investigate any outstanding or unusual items.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash management processes.
- Analyze financial results and explain budget-to-actual and period-over-period variances.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and client-specific accounting and reporting requirements.
- Assist with external audits by providing schedules and necessary documentation.
- Develop and maintain accounting procedures, reporting templates, and process documentation.
- Liaise directly with overseas clients and respond professionally to their inquiries.
- Identify opportunities to enhance accuracy, controls, efficiency, and turnaround times.
- Support and review the work of junior accounting staff as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified or part-qualified CA, ACCA, ACMA/CMA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting certification.
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience in accounting BPO, shared services, outsourcing firms, or equivalent local industry experience.
- Strong expertise in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Sound knowledge of financial statements, general ledger accounting, and management reporting.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP is essential; candidates with IFRS experience must demonstrate ability to transition quickly.
- Experience supporting medium to large local or international businesses is preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with strong written and spoken English.
- Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with clients, including those overseas.
- Willingness to work hours that overlap with client time zones.
