The Senior Accountant role at MG Rawalpindi is a full-time, on-site position responsible for managing daily accounting functions and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This position involves maintaining the general ledger, handling accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and coordinating payroll activities. The Senior Accountant will prepare monthly and annual financial statements, ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations, and provide financial insights to support management decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Coordinate payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate salary disbursements.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Monitor budgets, analyze variances, and provide financial analysis to support management in planning and decision-making.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with external auditors during audit processes and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflows for greater efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams by providing accurate and timely financial data to support various business functions.
Required Qualifications
- Strong expertise in financial accounting and reporting, including comprehensive general ledger management and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to assist management in performance evaluation and planning.
- Experience managing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
- Ability to implement internal controls and ensure compliance with tax regulations and audit requirements.
- Advanced skills in accounting software, preferably ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Several years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within automotive, retail, or showroom environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Willingness and ability to work full-time on-site in Rawalpindi, managing multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
