Senior Accountant

VASL is seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant/Bookkeeping Specialist with over three years of experience to join our team onsite in Islamabad. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing bookkeeping operations primarily for US-based clients. This role requires proficiency in accounting software, strong skills in reconciliations, financial reporting, and effective client communication. The working hours are from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM PKT, and the position is based at DHA Phase 2, Gate 1, Main GT Road, Islamabad.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks for multiple US-based clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
- Maintain and update accurate general ledger records.
- Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) management efficiently.
- Prepare monthly financial reports along with supporting schedules for client review.
- Review and verify the work of junior team members before final submission.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Coordinate with clients to resolve queries and obtain missing financial information.
- Ensure data accuracy and maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and US bookkeeping practices.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet strict deadlines.
