We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting and reporting for a diverse portfolio of US-based clients, primarily within the construction industry. This fully remote role involves managing multiple client engagements simultaneously while leading a team of accountants. Initially, you will handle all client work personally to develop a thorough understanding of our workflows, standards, and client expectations. Once consistent quality is demonstrated, you will take full ownership of client accounts and assume leadership responsibilities. The position requires working Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the complete accounting cycle for multiple US clients, including bookkeeping review, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. Apply construction accounting principles accurately, such as job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition. Review revenue recognition in accordance with contract terms, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions. Prepare and review recurring reporting workbooks, journal entries, and client deliverables. Reconcile bank and credit card accounts meticulously to ensure balance sheet accuracy before sign-off. Lead, train, and review the work of team members once assigned. Set priorities, track open items, and manage deadlines across all assigned clients. Communicate directly with internal leadership and clients to provide status updates, address issues, and propose solutions. Continuously improve processes, checklists, and documentation to maintain consistency across the team.

Required Qualifications
Proven hands-on experience working with US clients is essential. Proficiency with QuickBooks Online is required. A solid background in construction accounting, including job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion methods, is necessary. Experience in public accounting is preferred. Candidates should hold or be finalists for professional certifications such as ACCA, CMA, or CA. Availability to work Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST, is mandatory. Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, are required. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients concurrently and experience leading or reviewing the work of other accountants is important. Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, structured workbooks, and data validation, are expected. Attention to detail, strong self-review habits, and the ability to work independently while holding oneself and the team accountable to deadlines are critical.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Experience
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is an advantage. Familiarity with construction management software such as JobTread, Procore, or Buildertrend is beneficial. Exposure to payroll, sales tax, or Quality of Earnings (QoE) engagements is also desirable.

We prioritize accuracy over speed, ownership and accountability, clear communication, consistency, discipline, and a strong willingness to learn and improve rapidly. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely from any location while maintaining regular business hours aligned with Eastern Standard Time.
