Senior Accounts and Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Senior Accounts & Finance Manager to lead our company’s accounting and finance operations. The ideal candidate will be ACCA qualified with strong technical accounting expertise and extensive experience in the UAE and GCC markets. This role requires a finance professional capable of independently managing financial activities, leading and developing a team, strengthening financial controls, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the entire accounting and finance function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all financial operations. Manage, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team to enhance performance and professional growth. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Oversee general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and cash management processes. Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to support business planning. Monitor working capital, receivables, payables, and overall financial performance to maintain financial health. Establish and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness. Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards, including IFRS, tax regulations, and company policies. Utilize UAE and GCC experience to manage international accounting requirements and practices effectively. Oversee UAE VAT-related accounting and compliance activities where applicable. Lead and coordinate external and internal audits to ensure transparency and regulatory compliance. Liaise with banks, auditors, tax advisors, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to maintain strong professional relationships. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to improve financial efficiency. Provide senior management with insightful financial analysis, recommendations, and strategic guidance. Support strategic planning, business expansion, investment decisions, and financial risk management initiatives. Ensure financial systems, processes, and reporting structures remain accurate, efficient, and aligned with business needs.

Required Qualifications
ACCA qualification is strongly preferred. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline is required. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, ideally in a managerial or senior leadership capacity. Proven experience working within the UAE and GCC region is essential. Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting, IFRS, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations, audit processes, and other regulatory requirements. Demonstrated ability to manage and develop finance teams effectively. Strong proficiency in accounting and ERP systems, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities. Capacity to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates with ACCA qualification and over 7 years of relevant experience will be highly regarded. Demonstrated expertise in UAE and GCC financial practices is a significant advantage. Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of team management and development. Experience handling UAE VAT compliance and audit processes is preferred. A robust background in financial reporting and management accounting is beneficial. A strategic mindset combined with excellent commercial awareness is desirable. Experience collaborating with senior management and international stakeholders will be considered an asset.
