Senior Accounts Manager

Located in Gulberg 3, Lahore, this full-time onsite position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Account Manager with 10 to 12 years of core financial and accounting expertise. The role is based within the Finance & Accounts department of a leading fashion and garment manufacturing company. Reporting directly to management and the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will work Monday to Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM. This senior position demands a strategic leader to manage end-to-end financial operations, product costing, inventory controls, tax compliance, and financial reporting to support the company’s growth across design, production, and retail channels.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Oversight & Reporting: Manage the general ledger, bank reconciliations, and monthly financial close processes. Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports, accompanied by variance analysis for executive review.

- Cost Accounting & Garment Costing: Lead product costing initiatives by analyzing the Bill of Materials (BOM) against actual production costs such as raw materials, dyeing, printing, embroidery, adda work, and CMT expenses. Use insights to optimize margins and profitability.

- Taxation & Regulatory Compliance: Oversee tax planning and ensure adherence to Pakistani tax laws. Coordinate with external tax consultants for the preparation, filing, and audit of Sales Tax, Income Tax (including withholding taxes and quarterly returns), and provincial regulatory requirements.

- Inventory & Asset Management: Develop and maintain strong internal controls for inventory valuation, stock reconciliation across retail outlets and warehouses, work-in-progress tracking, and physical stock audits.

- Treasury & Working Capital: Manage cash flow, banking relationships, payables, receivables, vendor payments, and credit controls to sustain healthy liquidity levels.

- Budgeting & Financial Forecasting: Collaborate with leadership to create annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance tracking, while driving cost-control measures across all operational areas.

- Process & System Optimization: Lead the implementation and enhancement of ERP systems, with a focus on Odoo, to automate accounting workflows, reporting, and internal controls.

- Team Leadership & Audit Management: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff. Act as the primary liaison for external audits, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.

Required Qualifications

- 10 to 12 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, preferably within textiles, apparel, garment manufacturing, or retail/couture sectors.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting & Finance, BCom, ACCA (partially qualified or qualified), ACMA, or an equivalent professional certification.

- Proven expertise with ERP systems, especially Odoo ERP, alongside advanced skills in MS Excel including financial modeling, pivot tables, and complex formulas.

- Comprehensive knowledge of FBR tax laws, PRA sales tax regulations, withholding tax frameworks, and labor laws applicable in Punjab.

- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams, conducting internal audits, analyzing cost structures, and delivering actionable financial insights to senior management.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Urdu.
