Senior AI Engineer / AI Developer

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer / AI Developer to join our in-house team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced AI-powered applications, SaaS platforms, AI assistants, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, automation tools, and custom large language model (LLM) solutions. This role involves managing AI projects from initial concept through architecture, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support for both internal initiatives and client engagements.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop AI system architectures and LLM-based applications tailored to project requirements. Build RAG pipelines and knowledge bases by integrating diverse data sources such as books, documents, websites, and videos. Develop backend APIs and databases primarily using Python frameworks like FastAPI or Django. When necessary, create frontend interfaces using React, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript to deliver clean and user-friendly AI product experiences. Integrate third-party services, including Stripe, to handle payment processing, subscriptions, and webhook management. Implement AI SaaS platforms featuring user account management and subscription controls. Continuously test and enhance AI response quality, focusing on reducing hallucinations and improving response grounding. Optimize system performance and carefully manage API usage costs. Deploy and maintain production applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, utilizing Docker containers and version control with Git/GitHub. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to ensure smooth operation. Stay updated with emerging AI technologies and recommend improvements to enhance products and workflows. Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Required Qualifications
Strong expertise in large language models (LLMs) and generative AI, with hands-on experience using APIs like OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or similar. Proficiency in RAG architecture, vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, prompt engineering, AI agents, and context management. Solid backend development skills in Python, including REST API design, authentication, authorization, and third-party API integrations. Frontend development experience with React, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript to build intuitive AI interfaces. Familiarity with AI infrastructure tools such as Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, pgvector, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and related APIs. Experience working with payment systems, particularly Stripe API, Stripe Checkout, recurring subscriptions, and webhook integration. Knowledge of cloud deployment and monitoring on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, along with containerization using Docker and version control via Git/GitHub. A minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years focused on building production-ready AI/LLM applications. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, or a related field is preferred; however, strong practical experience and a proven portfolio are highly valued. Ability to work independently on AI architecture design, solve complex problems, manage incomplete requirements, and communicate technical concepts clearly. Experience managing multiple client projects and taking full ownership of deliverables with a strong emphasis on quality and security.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates with a robust portfolio of real-world AI products may be considered even if their experience level varies from the stated requirements. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of AI projects, including chatbots, virtual assistants, AI SaaS platforms, business automation, document processing, recommendation systems, and analytics dashboards. The role is full-time, permanent, and on-site, based in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Block 2. A competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs100,000 to Rs150,000 is offered.

Please note, this role is not suitable for candidates who have only developed basic chatbot integrations or simple ChatGPT wrappers. We seek experienced professionals who have built robust, production-ready AI applications involving complex backend logic, databases, authentication, and deployment.
