Senior AI-Native Developer – QuickBooks Financial Analysis Plugin

Fulcrum Pvt Ltd is seeking a Senior AI-Native Developer to lead the creation of an innovative AI-powered plugin that integrates with QuickBooks. This plugin will analyze financial data to automatically detect anomalies, trends, categorization errors, cash-flow risks, and other critical financial insights. This senior engineering role emphasizes system architecture, AI-native development, and delivering production-ready solutions. The position is contract/project-based, reporting directly to the founder, with potential for ongoing engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end development of the QuickBooks financial analysis plugin, from architecture design to production deployment.
- Develop integrations with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop APIs.
- Build robust data pipelines to connect QuickBooks financial data with AI and large language model (LLM) systems.
- Design and implement AI-powered financial analysis leveraging LLM APIs.
- Create effective prompts and structured outputs (e.g., JSON) to generate accurate financial insights.
- Analyze financial documents including transactions, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Identify financial anomalies, categorization errors, cash-flow risks, and emerging trends.
- Implement comprehensive error handling, logging, testing, security measures, and data validation processes.
- Develop user-friendly dashboards, reports, or embedded QuickBooks experiences to present insights clearly.
- Utilize AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent tools as an integral part of the development workflow.
- Review, test, debug, and refine AI-generated code to ensure it meets production-quality standards.

Required Qualifications

- Proven senior-level software development experience.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks API or similar financial/accounting software APIs.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial data structures, including Chart of Accounts and transaction models.
- Experience building AI-powered applications using LLM APIs.
- Expertise in prompt engineering and generating structured outputs like JSON.
- Ability to manage challenges related to LLM hallucinations and accuracy.
- Daily practical experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalents.
- Strong skills in software architecture, code review, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Deep understanding of data security and accuracy requirements when handling sensitive financial information.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience developing QuickBooks apps or plugins.
- Familiarity with Intuit App Marketplace submission and review processes.
- Background in FinTech, accounting software, or financial reporting.
- Experience working with multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
