Senior AI-Native Developer – QuickBooks Financial Analysis Plugin

Fulcrum Pvt Ltd is seeking a Senior AI-Native Developer to lead the creation of an innovative AI-powered plugin that integrates with QuickBooks. This plugin will analyze financial data to automatically detect anomalies, trends, categorization errors, cash-flow risks, and other critical financial insights. This senior-level engineering role emphasizes architecture design, AI-native development, and delivering a production-ready solution. The position is contract/project-based, reporting directly to the Founder, with potential for ongoing engagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of the QuickBooks financial analysis plugin, from system architecture to production deployment.
- Develop seamless integrations with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop APIs.
- Build reliable data pipelines that connect QuickBooks financial data with AI and large language model (LLM) systems.
- Design and implement AI-driven financial analysis using LLM APIs, including prompt engineering and structured output formats for accuracy.
- Analyze financial statements such as transactions, profit & loss, balance sheets, and cash flow to identify anomalies, categorization errors, risks, and trends.
- Ensure robust error handling, logging, testing, security, and data validation throughout the development lifecycle.
- Create a user-friendly dashboard, reporting tools, or an integrated QuickBooks experience to present actionable insights.
- Utilize AI coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent tools as core components of the development workflow.
- Directly review, test, debug, and refine AI-generated code to meet production-quality standards.

Required Qualifications
- Senior-level software development experience with a strong focus on architecture and production delivery.
- Hands-on experience working with QuickBooks API or similar financial/accounting software APIs.
- Deep understanding of accounting and financial data structures, including Chart of Accounts and transaction models.
- Proven experience developing AI-powered applications using LLM APIs.
- Expertise in prompt engineering and producing structured outputs such as JSON for accurate data interpretation.
- Experience managing challenges related to LLM hallucinations and ensuring output accuracy.
- Daily practical experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent tools.
- Strong skills in software architecture, code review, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Solid understanding of data security and accuracy requirements when handling sensitive financial information.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience developing QuickBooks apps or plugins is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Intuit App Marketplace submission and review processes.
- Background in FinTech, accounting software, or financial reporting.
- Experience working with multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
