Meds IT Nexus is looking for a Senior Accounts Receivable (A/R) Executive with specialized experience in US healthcare medical billing to join their team full-time on-site. This role focuses on managing complex claims, addressing high-priority denials, leading insurance appeals, and ensuring steady cash flow for US-based clients. The position requires working evening/night shifts from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday, at the company’s office in Rawalpindi. This opportunity is well-suited for a seasoned Medical Billing and A/R Specialist eager to take on advanced responsibilities within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts receivable processes, emphasizing follow-ups on high-value, aged, or complicated unpaid claims.
- Review patient claims thoroughly to ensure accuracy, coding compliance, and completeness before submission, minimizing billing rejections.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, underpayments, and complex claim denials efficiently.
- Prepare and submit Level 1 and Level 2 insurance appeals, supported by relevant clinical and billing documentation.
- Verify insurance payments against contractual discount rates for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers to identify underpayments.
- Handle secondary and tertiary insurance billing and respond to escalated inquiries from patients and insurance representatives.
- Generate detailed daily and weekly A/R trend analyses, research summaries, and performance reports using MS Excel.
- Mentor junior billing associates, assist with floor escalations, and maintain clear communication with team leads and management.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience as a Senior A/R Executive specializing in US medical billing, accounts receivable follow-up, denial management, and appeals.
- Advanced knowledge of major EHR and billing platforms such as AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks, Kareo/Tebra, Practice Fusion, OfficeAlly, EncoderPro, and various payer portals.
- Strong technical skills in MS Excel, including pivot tables, data sorting, and reporting formulas, along with familiarity with web faxing tools and a fast typing speed.
- Comprehensive understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems, insurance guidelines for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers, and prior authorization workflows.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, coupled with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
