Senior Architectural Design Team Lead

Nopex Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to lead its architectural design and drafting team. This full-time position is based in Pakistan and involves working closely with US-based clients and projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical architectural expertise, particularly in US construction standards, and demonstrate excellent leadership abilities. This role requires direct communication with international clients, managing project deliverables, and overseeing a team of draftsmen and CAD/Revit technicians to ensure high-quality architectural outputs.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Design and Project Management: Lead architectural design and drafting projects across various sectors including residential, commercial, and multifamily buildings. Review and ensure accuracy of architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction documentation. Guarantee compliance with US building codes, project specifications, and jurisdictional requirements. Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, and other disciplines. Manage project schedules, deadlines, revisions, and quality control processes to deliver timely and precise documentation.

Client Communication and Meetings: Participate in online meetings with US-based clients to discuss project requirements, design concepts, scope, and deliverables. Communicate professionally to clarify technical details and resolve design-related issues. Translate client feedback into clear instructions for the design and drafting team. Engage in project kickoff, progress review, and coordination meetings, providing technical updates and supporting client relationship management.

Team Leadership and Coordination: Supervise and manage a team of architectural draftsmen and CAD/Revit technicians. Assign tasks based on project priorities and complexity. Review team output, provide technical guidance, training, and constructive feedback. Establish drawing standards, quality-control procedures, and efficient workflows. Monitor productivity to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Collaborate closely with project managers and internal teams including structural, MEP, and BIM specialists.

US Project Standards and Documentation: Apply working knowledge of US architectural drawings, construction documentation, and permitting requirements. Interpret construction plans, architectural specifications, and client standards. Understand relevant building codes, zoning, accessibility, and life-safety provisions. Prepare and review permit drawing sets and construction packages. Coordinate with licensed US design professionals for jurisdiction-specific reviews and approvals when necessary.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional architectural experience.
- Proven experience working on US-based projects or within the US construction industry.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing architectural draftsmen, CAD technicians, or Revit modelers.
- Strong knowledge of US architectural drawing standards, construction documentation, and building codes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
- Ability to independently review architectural drawings and identify technical discrepancies.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Confidence in conducting client meetings with US contractors, architects, and builders.
- Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a client-service environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with US residential, commercial, multifamily, hospitality, or mixed-use projects is highly desirable. Familiarity with preparing permit sets, construction documents, and architectural detailing packages is a plus. Knowledge of International Building Code (IBC), International Residential Code (IRC), and accessibility standards including ADA requirements is advantageous. Experience coordinating with structural and MEP consultants, as well as familiarity with BIM workflows, Revit model coordination, and drawing quality-control processes, will be beneficial. Previous work in architectural consultancies, engineering firms, or CAD/BIM outsourcing companies serving US clients is preferred.
