Senior AutoCAD Designer (Steel experience)

The Senior AutoCAD Designer role is based in Lahore and requires an experienced professional specializing in construction and steel fabrication design. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, this full-time, on-site position involves producing detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and fabrication models for international projects. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil, or structural engineering and possess strong AutoCAD 3D skills alongside a solid understanding of construction and fabrication standards. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is essential to effectively communicate with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Produce precise 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for both custom and standard access systems.
- Develop fabrication drawings that ensure material specifications and structural integrity are accurately represented.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, fabricators, and architects to maintain alignment throughout project phases.
- Manage projects from initial design through to completion, including client communication and coordination.
- Conduct site surveys and accurately interpret architectural and structural drawings to inform design decisions.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety, fabrication, and construction standards.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior draughtsmen and estimators, fostering skill development within the team.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in design roles within construction or steel fabrication environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D is essential, with strong skills in AutoCAD 3D or Inventor software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of materials, fabrication processes, and installation techniques relevant to steel construction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong project management capabilities to oversee design phases and client interactions.

This position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from PKR 230,000 to 300,000, reflecting the candidate’s experience and expertise.
