Senior Backend Developer

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in C# and .NET to join our team in Sweden on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have between 5 to 10 years of experience and must be fluent in both Swedish and English, with Swedish language skills being mandatory. This role is primarily targeted at Swedish nationals and offers a 12-month contract duration. The successful applicant will play a critical role in developing and maintaining backend systems, working closely with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions in the Asset Management domain.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend applications using C# and the .NET Framework/.NET platform. Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases and data models to support business requirements. Build and support complex integrations and data flow processes, ensuring seamless connectivity between systems. Configure and manage application and integration environments to maintain stability and performance.

Implement and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automated deployment processes to streamline releases. Apply DevOps best practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to improve operational efficiency. Troubleshoot production issues promptly and optimize system performance to minimize downtime.

Conduct thorough requirements analysis and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals. Participate actively in Agile development processes, including Scrum or Kanban methodologies, to deliver iterative improvements. Support application deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and incident resolution activities to ensure system reliability.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in backend development using C# and .NET Framework/.NET is essential. Proven experience within the Asset Management domain is mandatory. Strong expertise in SQL Server, including database development and data modeling, is required. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain complex integrations and data flows.

Experience working in on-premises Microsoft environments is necessary. Hands-on experience in establishing and configuring application and integration environments is expected. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated build and release processes is critical. Practical knowledge of DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is required.

Proficiency with version control and DevOps tools such as Git and Azure DevOps (or equivalent) is essential. Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and system performance optimization skills are required. Experience in requirements analysis and collaborating with stakeholders is necessary. Prior experience working within Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban is expected.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, Vue.js, or Blazor is a plus. A good understanding of frontend and backend system interactions is advantageous. Exposure to full-stack development environments will be considered beneficial. Knowledge of API integration and modern frontend architectures is desirable.
