Role Description The Senior Barista is a full-time, on-site role based in Lahore. This position is responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and other beverages, operating espresso machines and related equipment, and ensuring consistent drink standards.
The Senior Barista will manage daily counter operations, support junior baristas through coaching and training, and maintain a clean and safe workspace in compliance with health and safety guidelines. The role includes greeting and serving guests, handling cash and POS transactions accurately, monitoring inventory levels, and collaborating with management to improve menu offerings and customer experience. Location: DHA, Phase 6 Qualifications- Strong coffee-making skills, including espresso preparation, drink customization, and familiarity with specialty coffee beans and brewing methods.
- Experience in customer service, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage queues, and create a welcoming environment for guests.
- Operational skills in using POS systems, handling cash, and following opening and closing procedures.
- Attention to cleanliness and hygiene, including knowledge of food safety standards and equipment maintenance.
- Leadership abilities to mentor junior baristas, support team coordination, and assist with training and onboarding.
- Previous experience in a café or coffee shop, ideally in a senior or lead barista role.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work flexible shifts, and perform tasks that may involve lifting or moving supplies.
- Basic education; vocational training in hospitality or food service is an advantage.
