EHB Technologies Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Blockchain Engineer with expertise in Rust and a minimum of five years of professional software development experience, including substantial hands-on work in blockchain technology. The successful candidate will play a critical role in researching, designing, and developing blockchain solutions such as protocols, distributed systems, validator infrastructure, smart contracts, and security components. This role demands strong technical knowledge in Rust programming, blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, cryptography, and distributed systems. The engineer will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to evaluate blockchain ecosystems and recommend scalable, secure, and maintainable technical approaches aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Blockchain Architecture & Protocol Development:
Research and recommend blockchain architectures and technology stacks based on business and technical requirements. Analyze protocols, consensus mechanisms, transaction processing, and state management. Understand Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchain networks and contribute to the design and development of blockchain components and distributed applications. Evaluate ecosystems such as Solana, Substrate/Polkadot, NEAR, and others to determine whether existing or custom blockchain solutions best meet EHB’s needs. Analyze trade-offs involving throughput, finality, decentralization, fault tolerance, and operational costs. Prepare technical assessments and architecture recommendations for management and partners.

Rust Development & Systems Programming:
Design, develop, test, and maintain blockchain-related software on Linux/Ubuntu platforms using Rust. Apply Rust’s ownership model, lifetimes, error handling, and memory safety principles effectively. Develop backend services, system components, and blockchain integrations with asynchronous programming and concurrency. Work with Rust frameworks and tools, write modular and maintainable code, perform debugging and performance optimization, and participate in code reviews.

Distributed Systems & Validator Infrastructure:
Understand blockchain node and validator architecture, including RPC, POS, DPS, APS services, and peer-to-peer networking. Evaluate validator registration, synchronization, transaction validation, and consensus participation. Collaborate with infrastructure teams on deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and scaling validator environments. Address security concerns related to validator keys and node access.

Smart Contracts & Blockchain Integration:
Develop or integrate smart contracts and on-chain programs within selected blockchain ecosystems. Evaluate smart contract frameworks and testing tools. Work with blockchain RPC APIs, SDKs, and transaction interfaces. Design integrations between blockchain networks and off-chain applications, including wallet integration and key management. Assess cross-chain interoperability requirements and coordinate with backend developers.

Blockchain Security & Cryptography:
Apply cryptographic fundamentals such as hashing, digital signatures, and key management. Identify blockchain vulnerabilities and protocol-level risks. Participate in threat modeling, security reviews, and collaborate with external security specialists. Use testing and fuzzing techniques to detect security weaknesses and translate findings into engineering requirements.

Technical Research & Development Partnership:
Define project requirements and objectives with management and engineering teams. Engage with external blockchain developers, auditors, and technology partners. Evaluate proposals, assess feasibility, scalability, and security of solutions. Prepare documentation, proof-of-concepts, and support due diligence processes. Translate business goals into technical specifications and provide evidence-based recommendations.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Blockchain Entrepreneurship, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience with substantial blockchain development exposure.
- Strong proficiency in Rust programming applied to blockchain, protocol, or systems development.
- Deep understanding of blockchain architecture, distributed ledger technology, consensus mechanisms, and transaction/state management.
- Practical knowledge of blockchain nodes, validators, RPC interfaces, and peer-to-peer networking.
- Solid grasp of distributed systems concepts including concurrency, fault tolerance, and network communication.
- Familiarity with cryptographic fundamentals and secure key management.
- Experience with at least one blockchain ecosystem or protocol.
- Understanding of smart contracts and blockchain execution environments.
- Proficient in automated testing, debugging, performance profiling, and code reviews.
- Knowledge of blockchain security principles and common vulnerabilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, conduct technical research, and manage complex engineering tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

- Production-level Rust experience in blockchain protocol, node client, validator, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience with Ethereum, Solana/Anchor, Substrate/Polkadot, Filecoin, Binance, NEAR, or other Rust-based blockchains.
- Familiarity with Ethereum/EVM architecture and Solidity smart contracts.
- Experience in blockchain security testing, auditing, fuzzing, or threat modeling.
- Knowledge of cryptographic libraries and secure key management systems.
- Experience with Docker, Linux, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and production infrastructure.
- Understanding of RPC services, event-driven systems, message queues, and backend integration.
- Ability to evaluate blockchain scalability, transaction finality, network reliability, and consensus performance.
- Experience collaborating with external blockchain development teams and security auditors.
- Familiarity with blockchain explorers, transaction tracing, on-chain analytics, and debugging tools.

This position requires in-person work and candidates should be prepared to discuss previous blockchain projects and demonstrate technical expertise during the interview process, including architecture evaluations, Rust development, validator infrastructure, and security considerations.
