This role is focused on supporting the development and continuous improvement of Payments and Financial Institution (FI) Clearing capabilities within Cash Management. The position involves assisting with product-related activities across domestic and cross-border payments, FI clearing services, and settlement support. Collaboration with business, operations, technology, compliance, and client-facing teams is essential to ensure efficient, well-controlled, and client-centric payment and clearing services that align with broader cash management and transaction banking goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management and maintenance of Payments and FI Clearing products for Corporate and Institutional/FI clients, assisting with product enhancements related to domestic and cross-border payments, FI payment flows, clearing, and settlement support.
- Contribute to product proposition reviews, identifying improvements based on client feedback, operational insights, and market trends.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to keep payment and FI clearing products relevant, efficient, and compliant with internal guidelines.
- Assist in initiatives aimed at improving payment processing efficiency, including payment routing, transaction visibility, Straight-Through Processing (STP) levels, controls, and exception handling.
- Support changes impacting domestic and international payment services and contribute to process improvements related to payment journeys and client servicing.
- Provide ongoing support for FI clearing services, coordinating payment servicing, settlement support, and operational requirements.
- Identify service gaps and operational issues within FI clearing activities and work with teams to enhance client and internal servicing models.
- Collaborate with operations and technology teams to streamline payment and clearing processes by identifying manual touchpoints, bottlenecks, and control weaknesses.
- Support the implementation of process improvements and contribute to discussions on service and operational efficiency enhancements.
- Ensure day-to-day Payments and FI Clearing activities comply with internal policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in updating and reviewing Country Addenda to the Product Program Guidelines, considering legal, regulatory, compliance, tax, credit risk, and internal policy factors.
- Work closely with Compliance, AML, Sanctions, Risk, and other stakeholders to understand regulatory changes and their impact on product features and servicing.
- Maintain product documentation, process notes, and control records, ensuring alignment with the bank’s policies and risk appetite.
- Communicate risk, governance, and compliance updates to internal stakeholders to promote awareness and consistent application.
- Escalate issues related to payment processing, service quality, governance, or control concerns as necessary.
- Coordinate with business, operations, technology, implementation, and service teams on product-related matters, supporting communication, follow-up, and alignment on delivery timelines and service expectations.
- Participate in stakeholder discussions to facilitate smooth execution of product and process updates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in corporate banking, with a strong focus on payments and FI clearing products.
- Proven product management experience with a successful track record in product development and enhancement.
- Deep understanding of corporate banking operations, including payments, FI clearing, and related processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of building consensus and driving collaboration.
