Senior Consultant

Splash Business Intelligence is seeking an experienced professional with strong expertise in data reporting and analytics to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in SQL and database management, programming skills, and experience integrating enterprise SaaS applications. This role involves working closely with customers to understand their integration needs and delivering effective technical solutions. The position is suited for senior or lead-level candidates with 9 to 10 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s or master’s degree.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, including joins and stored procedures, to support data reporting and analytics.
- Work with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL to manage and manipulate data efficiently.
- Utilize programming skills in Java or Python to support data integration and automation tasks.
- Integrate data from enterprise SaaS applications like Oracle Fusion Cloud, Salesforce, Workday, SAP Cloud, or NetSuite.
- Implement REST API integrations, handling JSON, XML, HTTP methods, authentication, pagination, rate limits, and error management.
- Collaborate with customers to gather integration requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Provide implementation support, troubleshoot issues, and offer production support to ensure smooth data operations.
- Work independently and in coordination with engineering, product, and delivery teams to meet project goals.
- Analyze and resolve data integration and performance challenges in customer environments.

Required Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in SQL, including the ability to write complex queries and optimize database performance.
- Experience with relational database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Programming experience in Java or Python.
- Hands-on experience integrating data from at least one enterprise SaaS application.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, including data formats (JSON, XML) and HTTP protocols.
- Ability to handle API authentication, pagination, rate limiting, and error handling effectively.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- 9 to 10 years of professional experience in data reporting, analytics, or related roles.
- Strong consulting and communication skills, with the ability to work directly with customers and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and experience using ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, or SSIS.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or Azure SQL.
- Knowledge of data warehousing principles, dimensional modeling, and data lineage.
- Experience integrating Oracle EBS or Oracle Fusion ERP/HCM/SCM applications.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex data integration and performance issues in customer environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to challenges.
