A leading Chinese technology company is seeking a highly skilled Senior CS Core Planning Engineer to join their team in Islamabad. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CS core network planning, capacity analysis, network design, optimization, and project support integration. This role demands a strong technical background and the ability to manage complex network environments while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure optimal network performance and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor network utilization, analyze growth trends, perform traffic forecasting, and conduct capacity analysis across CS core network elements to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Develop and interpret end-to-end High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for CS core products including MSC, STPs, SVC, and HLR.
- Recommend and implement network optimization strategies to enhance network efficiency and improve overall service quality.
- Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) planning, budget forecasting, Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation, Request for Proposals (RFPs), and technical tender evaluations.
- Collaborate closely with telecom vendors, contractors, and internal departments to assess and select appropriate technical solutions.
- Define and enforce operational standards, ensure network safety, and support project integration, commissioning, and acceptance of new network nodes.
- Analyze daily and weekly health check reports, monitor degraded KPIs and alarms, ensuring all activities are within acceptable Service Level Agreement (SLA) limits.
- Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for network issues, conduct Major Incident Reviews (MIR), maintain Known Error Database (KEDB) documentation, and contribute to team capability development.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in core network engineering, specifically within the CS domain.
- Solid understanding of basic communication and data communication principles.
- Expert knowledge of CS core call flows and scenarios aligned with 3GPP, GSMA, IEEE, and ETSI standards.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting using internal and external tracing tools such as Wireshark, IRIS, and Tektronix.
- In-depth knowledge of CS network nodes including VMSC, GMSC, SBC, OSS, HSS, and related protocols such as SCCP, BSSAP, RANAP, SS7, SIGTRAN, M3UA, and MTP3.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills combined with the ability to analyze customer requirements and manage complex projects.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with technical customers at various levels, from junior engineers to senior management.
- Demonstrated ability to respond quickly and make accurate decisions during crisis situations.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
