Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of security analysts and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and proactive defense.
- Champion the adoption of automation and orchestration (SOAR) to streamline incident response, reduce manual effort, and accelerate threat detection by automating repetitive tasks.
- Leverage machine learning and AI technologies to improve threat detection capabilities beyond traditional rule-based approaches, turning data into a strategic security asset.
- Design and implement proactive threat hunting strategies to uncover vulnerabilities and adversaries before alerts are triggered.
- Define and drive the long-term vision and roadmap for the Cyber Fusion Center, ensuring scalable security operations that support the rapid growth of Careem’s Super App. Serve as the strategic leader overseeing security tools, technologies, and initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, IT, legal, and fraud teams to embed security into all development and incident response processes.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, including a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success leading Security Operations teams or Cyber Fusion Centers, with experience building and managing high-performing teams.
- Strong expertise in SIEM, EDR, network security, cloud security, and threat intelligence platforms, with a solid understanding of modern security technology stacks.
- A passion for automation and proven experience implementing automation to enhance operational efficiency; hands-on experience with SOAR platforms is highly desirable.
- Enthusiasm for applying AI and machine learning in cybersecurity, with practical experience or innovative ideas for leveraging these technologies to address real-world security challenges.
