We are seeking an experienced Data Architect and Engineer to join our Data Analytics team within the Finance Department. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in designing and managing enterprise data architecture, with a strong focus on IBM Db2 Warehouse and large-scale data transformation projects. This role involves leading technical teams and vendor partnerships to drive modernization initiatives, ensure data governance, and optimize performance across data platforms. The position is based at our Head Office in Karachi and offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge data solutions within the banking and financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain enterprise-wide data architecture, standards, and target-state architecture across data warehouses, lakes/lakehouses, and integration platforms.
- Lead Big Data transformation efforts, data modernization projects, legacy system migration, and scalable ETL/ELT initiatives.
- Ensure optimal performance of IBM Db2 Warehouse (Db2W), while upholding data governance, security, privacy, data quality, compliance, and reliability of analytical and reporting platforms.
- Manage and guide technical teams and vendors, overseeing technology evaluation, architecture governance, automation, cost optimization, and operational resilience.

Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or Software Engineering from an HEC-recognized institute/university. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- 8 to 12 years of professional experience in data architecture and engineering, including 3 to 5 years of hands-on expertise with IBM Db2/Db2 Warehouse.
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and vendor relationships, ideally within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong technical skills in data warehousing, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and SQL.
- Experience working with Big Data technologies, data lakes/lakehouses, and data engineering frameworks.
- In-depth understanding of data governance, security, privacy standards, and banking data regulations.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
