Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer based in Pakistan to join a US-based client’s team on a fully remote, contract basis. This role involves collaborating directly with US companies through our consulting firm, focusing on enterprise-level data engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, dbt, and AWS, along with excellent English communication skills and a professional remote work environment. This position offers a competitive monthly compensation ranging from USD $4,000 to $6,000 per project, depending on experience and technical proficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines utilizing Snowflake, dbt, and AWS services.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Python and SQL.
- Develop dbt models, macros, tests, and reusable data transformation frameworks.
- Work extensively with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, and IAM.
- Optimize Snowflake query performance and manage data warehouse costs effectively.
- Collaborate closely with US-based engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high data quality standards.
- Participate actively in technical discussions, Agile ceremonies, and client meetings.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in data engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, and AWS cloud services.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data pipeline development.
- Proven experience building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based architectures.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills, comfortable engaging in technical interviews and client discussions.
- Ability to maintain a quiet, professional remote working environment equipped with a reliable HD webcam and clear audio setup.
- Stable, high-speed internet connection suitable for video conferencing and remote collaboration.
- Availability to work overlapping hours with US-based teams as required.
