Senior Developer (SQL & Visual Basic 6)

We are seeking a Senior Developer with strong expertise in SQL and Visual Basic 6 (VB6) to join our development team. The ideal candidate will focus on maintaining and improving existing applications while actively contributing to system enhancements and performance optimization. This role demands solid technical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance legacy applications developed using VB6 and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and large-scale data structures to support application requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application bugs and database performance issues to ensure system reliability and stability.
- Work closely with QA teams, business analysts, and fellow developers to deliver robust and efficient solutions.
- Support, when needed, the migration of legacy systems to modern platforms such as VB.NET or C#.

Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Visual Basic 6 (VB6) development.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including the ability to create and optimize complex queries, joins, views, and stored procedures.
- Proven experience with ADO, ABDC, and Crystal Reports 9 for reporting and data access.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
