Senior Developer (SQL & Visual Basic 6)

We are seeking a Senior Developer with strong expertise in SQL and Visual Basic 6 (VB6) to join our development team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing legacy applications while driving system improvements and optimizing overall performance. This position demands a proactive, hands-on approach to troubleshooting and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Additionally, there may be opportunities to support the migration of legacy systems to more modern technologies, contributing to the company’s digital transformation efforts.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance legacy applications developed using VB6 and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and manage large-scale data structures efficiently.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application bugs and database performance issues promptly.
- Work closely with QA teams, business analysts, and fellow developers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable solutions.
- Support, when required, the transition of legacy systems to modern platforms such as VB.NET or C#.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Visual Basic 6 (VB6) development.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including the ability to create and optimize complex queries, joins, views, and stored procedures.
- Proven experience with ADO, ABDC, and Crystal Reports 9.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Location and Work Environment
This role is based on-site at Multan Road, Chung, Lahore. The position requires physical presence to collaborate effectively with the team and manage legacy systems.
