Senior Developer (SQL & Visual Basic 6)

We are looking for a Senior Developer with extensive experience in SQL and Visual Basic 6 (VB6) to join our development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving existing applications, ensuring their optimal performance, and contributing to system enhancements. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance legacy applications developed in VB6 and SQL Server.
- Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and manage large data structures efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application bugs as well as database performance issues.
- Collaborate closely with QA engineers, business analysts, and fellow developers to ensure the delivery of reliable and effective solutions.
- Assist, when needed, in the transition of legacy systems to modern platforms such as VB.NET or C#.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in Visual Basic 6 (VB6) development.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including the ability to create and optimize complex queries, joins, views, and stored procedures.
- Proven experience working with ADO, ABDC, and Crystal Reports 9.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Location and Work Environment:
This position is based in Lahore, specifically on Multan Road, Chung. The role requires working on-site to facilitate close collaboration with the team and stakeholders.
