Senior DevOps and Cloud Security Engineer

We are currently looking for an experienced IT professional to lead our IT security initiatives and manage cloud infrastructure and DevOps within Microsoft Azure. This role is critical to ensuring the security, stability, and scalability of our cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and enforce comprehensive security measures to protect organizational computer systems and networks. Maintain and implement IT security policies and procedures, conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. Respond promptly to security incidents, including performing forensic investigations when necessary. Stay informed about emerging security threats and industry best practices to continuously enhance security posture.

Manage Azure cloud resources such as virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components. Implement and administer Azure Active Directory and identity/access management solutions to ensure secure access controls. Design and deploy cloud-based automation, orchestration, and monitoring solutions that align with business requirements. Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization to maximize efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security standards and contribute to the creation and maintenance of IT documentation. Develop, test, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes. Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.

Implement and maintain monitoring and logging tools, including Application Insights, to ensure system health and performance. Apply best practices for identity and access management, network policies, and regulatory compliance. Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages such as Bash and Python.

Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot build, deployment, and production issues. Configure and manage containerization and orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes. Perform root cause analysis and conduct postmortem reviews of incidents. Conduct performance tuning, scalability testing, and infrastructure optimization. Thoroughly document infrastructure and deployment processes.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in IT security with a strong understanding of security best practices. Hands-on expertise managing and securing Azure cloud environments. Solid knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automation purposes.

Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or ARM templates. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI. Knowledge of infrastructure automation and container technologies. Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
