Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in automating deployment pipelines, containerizing applications, and ensuring the reliability and security of production environments. This position requires close collaboration with development, QA, and operations teams to enhance productivity and streamline processes in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters in production environments to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Develop and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
- Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications using Docker, facilitating smooth and consistent deployments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices by leveraging tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, Pulumi, or Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Monitor system performance by implementing robust monitoring solutions that track health, performance, and security metrics.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and operations to optimize workflows and improve overall efficiency.
- Ensure security best practices are followed within containerized environments and maintain compliance with relevant industry standards.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or cloud engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, with practical experience deploying and managing clusters.
- Solid understanding of Docker, including containerization concepts and image management.
- Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Proficient scripting skills in languages such as Bash or Python to automate routine tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and its core components.
- Proven ability to create and manage Docker images and containers effectively.
- Hands-on experience automating build, test, and deployment processes within CI/CD frameworks.
- Practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure services and management.
- Skilled in automating infrastructure setup and ongoing management through IaC methodologies.
