We are seeking a Senior Truck Dispatcher to oversee and manage freight operations for US-based trucking carriers and owner-operators. This role requires handling a full portfolio of trucks while providing guidance to junior dispatchers, managing complex negotiations and escalations, maintaining service quality, and improving dispatch processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of the US trucking industry, excellent English communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, making sound decisions under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage a portfolio of trucks and drivers to ensure consistent load coverage and optimal truck utilization.
- Source and book profitable loads using load boards, broker and carrier networks, and approved sources.
- Match loads to trucks based on equipment type, location, availability, lanes, schedules, and operational requirements.
- Negotiate freight rates and terms with brokers to maximize revenue while meeting operational needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, shippers, receivers, drivers, and carriers.
- Review load details including pickup/delivery locations, appointment times, commodity, weight, equipment needs, and special instructions.
- Plan efficient routes and schedules considering distance, timing, driver hours, availability, and potential delays.
- Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments and monitor shipments to ensure on-time performance.
- Handle escalated issues such as delays, detention, layovers, breakdowns, missed appointments, and service failures promptly and professionally.
- Ensure proper collection, verification, and recording of rate confirmations, bills of lading, PODs, and related documents.
- Maintain accurate records of loads, drivers, rates, appointments, and communications in company systems.
- Train, coach, and support junior dispatchers, reviewing their work to uphold quality standards.
- Monitor lane performance, rate trends, and customer/broker behavior, sharing insights with Operations and Sales teams.
- Recommend improvements to dispatch processes, reporting, and team workflows.
- Adhere to company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable transportation and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a US Truck Dispatcher or Freight Dispatcher, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong practical knowledge of the US trucking and freight industry, including equipment types, lanes, and compliance basics.
- Proven experience working with owner-operators, carriers, drivers, and freight brokers.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate rates and secure profitable loads.
- Proficient in using load boards and freight-search platforms.
- Experience in route planning, appointment scheduling, and understanding driver hours regulations.
- Excellent spoken and written English with professional telephone communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple trucks, loads, calls, and deadlines simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
- Availability to consistently work the required US-aligned shift.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with dry van, reefer, flatbed, box truck, or other relevant equipment types.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems, GPS/tracking tools, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Previous experience training or leading dispatchers or small teams.
- Experience in carrier onboarding, broker setup, or customer relationship management.
Working Hours:
5:00 PM – 2:00 AM Pakistan Time. This is an on-site position requiring full availability during the assigned shift.

Selection Process:
Candidates may be required to complete a practical dispatch assessment covering US trucking knowledge, load booking, load boards, rate negotiation, route planning, communication, problem solving, and escalation handling.

Compensation:
Up to Rs 65,000 per month.
