INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to join its dynamic team. This role plays a crucial part in advancing process automation solutions across sectors such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Utilities, and Renewable Energy. The successful candidate will contribute to innovative projects involving Integrated Control Systems, SCADA Virtualization, Wellhead Automation, and Telecommunication, driving operational excellence and innovation. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the review of RFQs, client specifications, datasheets, standards, and project requirements related to E&I scope for skid packages, wellhead control panels (WHCP), and associated systems.
- Take technical ownership of E&I engineering activities from concept and detailed design through testing, commissioning, and project closeout.
- Prepare and review engineering deliverables including E&I specifications, WHCP and skid design documents, instrument datasheets, logic diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Perform and review electrical and instrumentation calculations such as electrical load, cable sizing, voltage-drop, intrinsically safe (IS) circuits, heat-load, and WHCP sizing.
- Lead and coordinate E&I design, testing, FAT, installation support, commissioning, and troubleshooting for skid and wellhead packages.
- Review and provide technical input on engineering drawings and documents, including panel layouts, electrical schematics, cable and junction box schedules, cable routing, instrument installation details, process and pneumatic hook-ups, interconnection diagrams, loop diagrams, and instrument loop diagrams (ILDs).
- Conduct interdisciplinary document reviews to ensure proper integration of E&I requirements with Mechanical, Process, Piping, and other disciplines.
- Participate in technical and interface meetings with clients, vendors, consultants, and project teams to provide engineering solutions and clarifications related to WHCP and skid E&I scope.
- Review vendor technical offers, drawings, datasheets, and documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Prepare and review technical clarifications, queries, deviations, and vendor/customer correspondence related to E&I and WHCP packages.
- Develop technical designs and engineering solutions based on project requirements, client specifications, and international standards.
- Identify and evaluate technical risks, design deviations, assumptions, interface requirements, and scope gaps, recommending mitigation measures.
- Lead technical discussions with clients and vendors to resolve design issues and obtain approvals.
- Coordinate with procurement and vendors to ensure E&I equipment meets approved technical requirements.
- Review engineering documents for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance before client submission.
- Ensure timely preparation, review, and submission of engineering deliverables and project documentation.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support standardization and improvement of E&I engineering practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant IEC, API, ISA, NFPA, and client-specific standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 7–8 years of relevant experience in E&I engineering, preferably within Oil & Gas, EPC, process industries, skid packages, or wellhead systems.
- Proven experience in engineering, design, testing, FAT, commissioning, and technical support of E&I systems for skids and Wellhead Control Panels.
- Strong expertise in reviewing RFQs, client specifications, datasheets, and engineering standards.
- Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing E&I specifications, WHCP/skid design documents, instrument datasheets, and logic diagrams.
- Proficient in electrical and instrumentation calculations including load, cable sizing, voltage-drop, IS circuits, heat-load, and WHCP sizing.
- Experience reviewing and developing panel layouts, electrical schematics, cable and junction box schedules, cable routing, instrument installation, pneumatic/process hook-ups, interconnection diagrams, loop diagrams, and ILDs.
- Solid understanding of instrumentation, control systems, electrical interfaces, and WHCP architecture.
- Experience evaluating vendor technical bids, drawings, clarifications, and deviations.
- Ability to identify technical risks, scope gaps, and interface requirements and provide engineering solutions.
- Skilled in coordinating with clients, vendors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams on technical matters.
- Knowledgeable in IEC, API, ISA, NFPA, and client-specific standards.
