RAG Process LLC is seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join our technical team and contribute to the successful delivery of oil and gas projects from design through commissioning. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, installing, and commissioning electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring operational reliability and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design and oversee the installation of electrical and instrumentation systems for oil and gas projects. Prepare detailed technical drawings, documentation, and equipment layouts to support project requirements. Specify and select appropriate instruments, control systems, and electrical equipment to meet project specifications. Conduct testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of systems to ensure optimal performance. Provide support during commissioning activities and maintain system reliability throughout project execution. Collaborate closely with engineering teams, vendors, and contractors to coordinate project tasks and resolve technical issues. Assist in the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and participate in technical bid evaluations to support procurement and project planning.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering is essential. Candidates must have a minimum of five years of experience working in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors. Strong knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, and industrial electrical design is required. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) is necessary. Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, loop drawings, and control panel design is highly desirable. A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards is expected to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
