Senior ELV Draftsman

Avanceon is seeking a skilled ELV Draftsman with 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in drafting, coordination, and preparing detailed drawings for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in systems such as Fire Alarm Systems (FAS), Public Address and Voice Alarm (PAVA), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Building Management Systems (BMS), CCTV, Access Control, and Structured Cabling. This role requires proficiency in creating shop drawings, coordination drawings, as-built drawings, and technical documentation to support both design and execution phases of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed ELV shop drawings, coordination drawings, schematic diagrams, riser diagrams, and as-built drawings to ensure accurate representation of system designs. Develop layouts and detailed drawings specifically for PAVA, ICT, BMS, CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, and Fire Alarm Systems.

Coordinate closely with design engineers, consultants, project managers, and site teams to obtain necessary approvals and incorporate revisions. Review Issued for Construction (IFC) and tender drawings, then prepare execution drawings aligned with project requirements.

Ensure all drawings comply with project standards, consultant specifications, and local authority regulations. Collaborate with MEP and architectural disciplines to integrate ELV drawings seamlessly within overall project documentation.

Maintain proper control over drawing revisions, documentation, and records. Provide technical support to execution teams by resolving drawing-related issues encountered on site.

Assist engineering teams with material coordination and quantity take-offs as needed. Participate actively in coordination meetings and update drawings based on site conditions and consultant feedback.

Required Qualifications

Strong command of AutoCAD for professional ELV drafting and documentation. Solid understanding of ELV system design principles and installation practices.

Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical specifications and IFC drawings. Familiarity with international drafting standards and consultant submission procedures.

Experience preparing coordinated drawings in conjunction with MEP services. Excellent coordination and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of BIM and Revit software will be considered an added advantage, enhancing the ability to work within integrated project delivery environments.
