This full-time, on-site position based in Islamabad offers an exciting opportunity to design, develop, and optimize low voltage embedded hardware systems centered around the STM32 architecture. Key Responsibilities
The Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer will be responsible for translating product requirements into detailed hardware specifications, including creating schematics and PCB layouts. Collaboration with embedded software engineers is essential to ensure seamless hardware-software integration. Daily tasks include component selection, power management design, signal integrity analysis, and system-level debugging of both prototypes and production units. The role also involves conducting hardware validation and verification, performing root-cause analysis for field issues, and preparing comprehensive documentation covering design details, test procedures, and manufacturing handover. Additionally, the engineer will support continuous improvement initiatives for design standards, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with manufacturing and quality assurance teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost-effective hardware solutions.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong embedded hardware design skills, particularly in low voltage system design and STM32-based microcontroller integration. Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout using modern EDA tools is essential. Experience in power electronics and power management for embedded systems—including voltage regulators, battery-powered designs, and protection circuitry—is required. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, testing, and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other laboratory equipment, with a focus on signal integrity and reliability. A solid understanding of embedded systems architecture, digital and analog electronics, communication interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, and CAN, as well as sensor integration, is necessary. Familiarity with embedded firmware development workflows and collaboration with software teams, including a basic understanding of C/C++ for hardware-software co-design, is important. Knowledge of industry standards, safety, EMC/EMI considerations, and relevant regulatory requirements for low voltage electronic products is expected.
