We are looking for a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer with a strong foundation in computer architecture and embedded systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing software for embedded platforms, particularly with a deep understanding of CPU architectures, operating systems, and low-level programming. This role demands a proactive and passionate individual committed to delivering high-quality code while collaborating effectively with diverse teams across multiple time zones. The position is onsite and offers a competitive compensation package along with a range of employee benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions, focusing primarily on RISC-V architectures. Implement and optimize system-level components such as device boot processes, program linking and loading, interrupt handling, virtual memory management, caches, buses, and communication protocols. Write efficient and reliable code mainly in C/C++, with assembly language programming considered an advantage. Develop software for real-time operating systems (RTOS) or embedded Linux environments. Work hands-on with embedded hardware platforms including Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, Arduino, ARM Cortex-M, or RISC-V boards. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and timely delivery of embedded software products. Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to best coding practices to guarantee high-quality deliverables. Continuously learn and apply new technologies and frameworks relevant to embedded systems and AI integration.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on embedded software development, operating systems, or computer architecture. A minimum of six years of professional experience in embedded software development is essential. Strong knowledge of RISC-V CPU architectures and system-level concepts is required. Proficiency in C/C++ programming is mandatory, while experience with assembly language is highly desirable. A solid understanding of CPU architecture, device booting, program linking/loading, interrupt handling, virtual memory, caches, buses, and communication protocols is necessary. Experience working with RTOS or embedded Linux platforms is expected. Hands-on experience with embedded hardware platforms such as Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, Arduino, ARM Cortex-M, or RISC-V boards is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams across different time zones are critical. A demonstrated commitment to producing high-quality code and comprehensive documentation is essential.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Knowledge of Python programming is advantageous. Experience with AI and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch, or TinyML is a plus. A passion for continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies is highly valued.
