Human Capital HR Solutions is looking for a skilled Senior Executive IT (Network Administrator) to join a prominent organization in the Port & Terminal Operations and Logistics sector, based in Keamari, Karachi. This full-time position demands a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in enterprise networking, cybersecurity, and network infrastructure management. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the security, stability, and efficiency of the company’s IT network, playing a vital role in supporting business operations through robust technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Designing, implementing, and maintaining a secure, reliable, and scalable network infrastructure will be a primary responsibility. The role involves configuring and managing Cisco networking devices, including firewalls, VPNs, LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud connectivity. The candidate will monitor network performance, availability, and security using advanced network monitoring tools and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems. Troubleshooting complex network issues to ensure maximum uptime and operational continuity is essential.
Oversight of Security Operations Center (SOC) activities and effective management of incident response processes will be required. The role includes implementing and maintaining cybersecurity solutions such as Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and Identity and Access Management (IAM), along with enforcing access control policies. Supporting business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including regular testing, is part of the responsibilities.
The candidate will identify opportunities for network and security enhancements by applying industry best practices. Providing technical guidance, coaching, and support to junior IT team members to foster their development is also expected. Ensuring compliance with organizational standards related to quality, health and safety, and information security will be a continuous requirement.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree (16 years of education) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is mandatory. Candidates should have 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in Network Administration, Infrastructure Management, or Network Security. Strong expertise in Cisco networking technologies is essential, along with hands-on experience managing firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching, and wireless networks.
Proficiency with cybersecurity tools and solutions such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, EDR, and IAM is required. A solid understanding of network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization techniques is necessary. Knowledge of SOC operations, incident response, and disaster recovery processes is important. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are expected, along with proficiency in both spoken and written English.
