Senior Executive TXN Maintenance

The role involves managing the operation and maintenance of a comprehensive transmission network, including optical transmission, microwave transmission, fiber cable networks, and IP-Core networks. The incumbent will ensure the smooth functioning of CMPAK’s transmission and optical fiber infrastructure, focusing on maintaining network performance and reliability. This position requires continuous monitoring, analysis, and optimization of network components to support high-quality service delivery and timely resolution of any issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure seamless operation of CMPAK’s transmission and optical fiber networks.
- Manage performance metrics related to Core optical (Metro/Long Haul), microwave, IP-Core, and optical fiber networks.
- Monitor critical transmission network KPIs, conduct routine quality tests, and implement permanent solutions to maintain KPIs within required thresholds.
- Analyze utilization trends across all transmission entities and prepare detailed statistical reports for management to facilitate proactive mitigation.
- Conduct root cause analysis of major outages and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Perform pre- and post-activity analysis, benchmarking for major events or upgrades, and system health checks, including preparations for special events.
- Regularly review transmission network topology and implement timely optimizations to improve efficiency.
- Forecast traffic, analyze network performance, and optimize transmission infrastructure to support proactive network expansion and enhanced quality.
- Collaborate with peer departments to coordinate end-to-end capacity expansions, ensuring the network remains optimized.
- Support comprehensive issue analysis and develop rectification plans for network problem resolution.
- Assist with technical aspects of optical transmission, fiber cable networks, and underlying technologies for planning, debugging, and optimization.
- Provide technical support for microwave (MW) frequency and capacity planning for Access networks (2G, 3G, 4G), ensuring interference-free MW routes.
- Review High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), and finalize Method of Procedure (MOP) for major network cutovers and system upgrades.
- Coordinate with regional teams to identify issues, implement solutions, and enhance transmission network performance.
- Optimize transmission network inventory utilization by analyzing fault patterns and ensuring appropriate stocking.
- Support solution formulation and assess transmission media feasibility for corporate customers (GCSS).
- Lead new projects such as FTTH and GPON network feasibility studies and resource management.
- Develop and implement optimized policies and processes related to the transmission network to achieve operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Telecommunication, Electrical, Electronics, or a related field.
- Ideally, 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in transmission network operations and maintenance.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Capacity to perform effectively under stress and in challenging environments.
