Senior Finance Manager

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Manager Finance to join a UAE-based logistics and transportation company, working remotely from Islamabad. This role demands a finance professional with at least seven years of experience, preferably qualified or finalist in CA, ACCA, or CMA. The successful candidate will oversee financial operations related to logistics, fleet management, transportation, warehousing, and customer contracts. They will play a critical role in budgeting, reporting, cost control, and compliance, collaborating closely with UAE-based management and operational teams to drive financial discipline, profitability, and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Reporting:
Lead comprehensive financial management and commercial finance support across logistics and transportation operations. Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting segmented by business unit, customer, route, fleet, and service line, including detailed revenue, cost, and profitability analysis. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and prepare insightful financial reports and dashboards for senior management.

Budgeting & Cost Control:
Develop and maintain annual budgets, rolling forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial models tailored to logistics and transportation activities. Implement strong budgetary controls, monitor variances, and provide actionable insights. Oversee allocation and monitoring of costs related to fleet, fuel, maintenance, manpower, subcontracting, and warehousing. Lead cost optimization initiatives while maintaining project delivery schedules.

Internal Controls & Compliance:
Design and enhance internal control frameworks across finance and logistics operations. Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Strengthen financial governance, risk management, and audit readiness. Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.

Operational Finance, Costing & ERP Management:
Ensure precise costing for fleet, routes, customers, and services, including operating margin and cost-to-serve analyses. Oversee ERP systems to maintain data integrity, accuracy, and real-time financial visibility. Promote automation and continuous improvement in finance systems and reporting processes.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance:
Manage UAE VAT, corporate and income tax, withholding tax, and other relevant tax and regulatory matters. Ensure timely filings and full compliance with regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Management:
Work collaboratively with operations, fleet management, procurement, warehousing, commercial, and customer-facing teams. Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making. Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies as needed.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 7 years of finance experience in logistics, transportation, fleet, supply chain, warehousing, or related service sectors.
- Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for large-scale or multi-location operations.
- Strong skills in financial reporting, project accounting, and cost control mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing internal control frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Direct experience working within logistics or transportation operations.
- Prior experience with Big Four or other reputable audit firms is advantageous.
