Senior Fortinet Engineer

Sharp Brains is urgently seeking experienced Fortinet Engineers for a fully remote position starting immediately. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Network Engineering and Security, with a strong focus on Fortinet technologies. Candidates must possess solid technical expertise and be ready to join on short notice. The role involves working across multiple time zones, including Brazil (AMR), Kuala Lumpur, and EMEA, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Fortinet solutions, particularly FortiGate Firewalls.
- Perform firewall configuration, VPN setup, routing, and incident management to ensure network security and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and maintain network and security operations, promptly addressing any issues or incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with customers to resolve technical challenges.
- Work independently while managing tasks across different time zones, maintaining high levels of professionalism and responsiveness.

Required Qualifications
- 7 to 10 years of practical experience in Network Engineering and Security, with a focus on Fortinet technologies.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet solutions, especially FortiGate Firewalls.
- Strong expertise in firewall configuration, VPNs, routing protocols, troubleshooting, and incident management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to work independently and confidently in a customer-facing role across multiple time zones.
- Immediate availability to start is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Fortinet certifications such as NSE (Network Security Expert), FCP (Fortinet Certified Professional), or FCSS (Fortinet Certified Security Specialist) are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
- The contract duration is short-term, lasting between 2 to 4 weeks, with an expected start date between November 10 and 11, 2026.
- The position requires an 8-hour workday, fully remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from any location.
