Senior Full Stack Developer (Remote, Contractual) [HR214] PK

Smart Working is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer with over 8 years of experience in software development, specializing in scalable web applications and cloud-native solutions. This role involves maintaining and enhancing a live, feature-complete Studio product, focusing primarily on backend development (70%) with some frontend work (30%). The technology stack includes Node.js, NestJS, Angular, Docker, and Google Cloud Run. You will join an established team, working within a mature codebase and following proven engineering and deployment practices to deliver reliable, customer-facing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve a live production platform used by customers.
- Design, develop, and support backend services using Node.js and NestJS.
- Contribute to frontend development with Angular as needed.
- Build and enhance REST APIs, ensuring comprehensive API documentation with Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Support production systems hosted on Google Cloud Platform, focusing on reliability and stability.
- Manage production deployments through CI/CD pipelines and established release processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents by identifying root causes and implementing fixes.
- Work extensively with Docker containerized applications and cloud-hosted services.
- Follow development workflows for staging and production releases.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to engineering standards and deployment patterns.
- Independently design, document, and deliver technical solutions.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience with Node.js and/or NestJS.
- At least 3 years of experience with Angular and 1.5 years with React.
- 4+ years designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- 3+ years working with Docker and containerized environments.
- 2+ years of hands-on DevOps experience supporting live production environments, including CI/CD, monitoring, incident management, and operational support.
- 2+ years managing customer-facing workloads on Google Cloud Platform, with experience in services such as GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Cloud SQL.
- Experience working with automated CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Proven ability to produce and maintain Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and designing APIs independently.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within an engineering team.
- At least 1 year of experience using AI-assisted development tools like Claude, MCP, or LLM APIs.
