We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with 5 to 8 years of professional experience to join our dynamic engineering team based in Islamabad. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to take end-to-end ownership of features and applications, make informed technical decisions, and confidently work across both frontend and backend development. This role involves working on production-level applications, solving complex problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to architecture and system design rather than just executing assigned tasks. Experience working with US clients is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications.
- Build modern frontend applications using React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Develop robust backend services and APIs with Node.js, NestJS, Express.js, or similar frameworks.
- Work with databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL, including database design and query optimization.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance application functionality.
- Participate actively in architecture discussions, system design, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues efficiently.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
- Collaborate closely with product management, UI/UX designers, QA, and other engineering teams.
- Contribute to deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure management, and production releases.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers as needed.
- Communicate technical requirements, progress updates, and challenges clearly with stakeholders and clients.

Required Qualifications

- 5 to 8 years of professional experience in full stack development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js/Next.js, and Node.js.
- Solid backend development experience with NestJS, Express.js, or equivalent technologies.
- Deep understanding of REST APIs, authentication mechanisms, databases, and system architecture.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL.
- Proficient with Git/GitHub and established software development best practices.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes, Docker, automated testing, and production deployments.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of technical deliverables.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Previous experience working with US-based clients or international teams.
- Experience building scalable or high-traffic applications.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, Redis, message queues, or real-time applications.
- Experience integrating AI or large language model (LLM) APIs is a plus.
- A strong GitHub or open-source portfolio demonstrating contributions.
- Experience mentoring developers or leading technical initiatives.
