Senior Full-Stack Engineer

CrowdReply is a fast-growing startup founded in 2025, trusted by over 10,000 brands worldwide. We operate remotely with a diverse team across Asia, Europe, and the US. Our product processes thousands of buyer questions daily through AI models like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini to help brands get recommended. We are seeking a senior full-stack engineer based in Pakistan with a strong back-end focus who is experienced in working with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor. This role requires ownership of features from conception to production, thoughtful planning before coding, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic AI-first environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Own features end to end: transform founder briefs into shipped features by asking critical questions, planning thoroughly, building with AI agents, and monitoring production performance.
- Plan extensively before building: focus on decisions around data models, failure scenarios, and prioritization. Review all critical code generated by AI agents.
- Work with complex, real-world systems involving multiple AI models, rate-limited APIs, scraping, queues, billing, and proprietary infrastructure. Troubleshoot issues and implement lasting fixes.
- Research and develop solutions for novel challenges, delivering well-considered plans rather than questions.
- Collaborate using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, MCP servers, and maintain clear documentation (CLAUDE.md) for every project.
- Run multiple AI agents in parallel for building, researching, and reviewing tasks to maximize efficiency.
- Critically review AI-generated outputs, verify results, correct errors, and document decisions clearly.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience with a strong emphasis on back-end development, including APIs, databases, queues, and infrastructure.
- Proven ability to design scalable data models and optimize query performance.
- Experience owning a product in production for at least one year, including maintenance, scaling, and iterative improvement, preferably in a SaaS or startup environment.
- Daily hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, including configuration of rules, commands, and agent orchestration.
- Strong planning skills with the ability to identify when AI agents produce incorrect outputs and intervene accordingly.
- Ability to independently research unfamiliar technologies and return with actionable plans.
- Excellent written English communication skills for clear specifications, pull requests, and founder-level updates.
- Residency in Pakistan with the ability and willingness to work remotely with a globally distributed team.
