Senior Full-Stack Engineer

CrowdReply is a fast-growing startup founded in 2025, trusted by over 10,000 brands worldwide. We operate remotely with a diverse team across Asia, Europe, and the US. Our product processes thousands of buyer questions daily through AI models like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini to help brands get recommended. We are looking for a senior full-stack engineer based in Pakistan, with a strong back-end focus, who is experienced in working with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor. This role requires ownership of features from initial planning through to production, with a mindset that embraces AI-first workflows and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Own features end to end: Translate rough briefs from founders into fully shipped features. You will ask clarifying questions, create detailed plans, build with AI agents, and monitor features in production.
- Plan before building: Spend most of your time making decisions about data models, failure cases, and feature scope. The AI agent writes most of the code, but you review every critical line.
- Work on complex, real-world systems: Manage daily jobs involving multiple AI models, rate-limited APIs, scraping, queues, billing, and our proprietary MCP server. Troubleshoot issues and implement lasting fixes.
- Research and innovate: Tackle unfamiliar problems by researching and testing options independently, then present clear plans rather than questions.
- Run AI agents efficiently: Brief agents thoroughly, run multiple agents in parallel for building, researching, and reviewing tasks, and critically evaluate their output before shipping.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on back-end development including APIs, databases, queues, and infrastructure.
- Proven ability to design scalable data models and optimize slow queries.
- Experience owning a product in production for at least one year, including maintenance, scaling, and iterative improvements. Preferably from a product, SaaS company, or early-stage startup.
- Daily use and proper setup of AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, including configuration of rules, commands, MCP servers, and subagents.
- Strong planning skills with the ability to identify when AI-generated code is incorrect and intervene appropriately.
- Ability to independently research new technologies and return with actionable plans.
- Excellent written English communication skills for clear specifications, pull requests, and updates.
- Residency in Pakistan and willingness to work remotely with an international team.

Our Hiring Process

- Receive a response within three working days from a team member who reviews every application thoroughly.
- Participate in a one-hour interview with a founder to discuss your experience and plan a real product problem using your AI tools.
- Complete a practical test based on a real product challenge using your AI tools, with agreed scope and timing.
- If successful, receive a formal written offer outlining salary, start date, and terms.
